ABOUT
Welcome to the official Black Snapper International Film Festival (BSIFF) website!
The BSIFF is a landmark project of Macquarie University (MQ) and MQ's Creative Documentary Research Centre (CDRC).
Launching on November 20th, and with events stretching over a fortnight of great screenings and events until our gala award ceremony on the 1st of December, this will be the largest international student film festival held anywhere in Australia. We offer student media-makers globally the opportunity to network with industry professionals in exclusive workshops, Q&A panels, and attend an award ceremony held in conjunction with the State Library of NSW.
With entries from across 85 countries the BSIFF will showcase the best young and emerging screen storytellers from across the globe. It will also showcase the best emerging screen talent from secondary and tertiary institutions across Australia, and spread awareness of issues of global, national, and community concern.
